What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Your first visit gives us time to learn about your pet’s health, history, lifestyle, and current needs. Please email any available medical records, vaccination history, medication information, and details about recent changes or concerns to info@courtyardvet.com.
During the appointment, our veterinarian will perform a thorough physical examination and talk with you about your pet’s care. Depending on their age, health, and reason for the visit, we may discuss vaccinations, preventative care, diagnostic testing, nutrition, behavior, or other recommendations.
We encourage questions and will explain our findings and suggested next steps clearly so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
New Patient Scheduling Fee
Courtyard Animal Hospital requires a $50 scheduling fee when booking a new patient’s first appointment. This fee is applied toward the cost of the visit and is refundable if the appointment is canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Before Your Visit
To help your appointment go smoothly, please:
- Email available veterinary records
- List current medications
- Note any recent changes
- Arrive a few minutes early
- Bring your pet securely restrained
Dogs should arrive on a secure leash, and cats should remain in a comfortable carrier. Please let our team know in advance if your pet becomes especially fearful or anxious during veterinary visits so we can help you prepare.
